Ambani wedding: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan To Deepika Padukone's best looks from day one

There were many different fashion trends visible on the first day of the three-day event, which did not disappoint.

Following several months of extravagant pre-wedding festivities, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant have tied the knot.

The pair began their three-day lavish nuptial party on Friday. Guests, who came to Mumbai for the event, included former politicians and A-list celebrities, and they were all dressed to impress.

Here are a few of the more stylish looks from the event thus far.

Unsurprisingly, the bride looked stunning for her vidai ceremony, wearing a custom Manish Malhotra couture ensemble. The striking color scheme of the outfit is ivory, gold, and red. Her lehenga, an ankle-length skirt worn with traditional Indian garments, has elaborate zari, beadwork, and sequin embroidery all over it. A five-meter head veil and a trailing ghagra complete the ensemble.

She accessorised it with a matching dupatta that was elegantly draped over the shoulders and a fitted, similarly embroidered choli. Traditional Indian jewelry, such as a maang tikka, bangles, earrings, and a statement necklace, completed the ensemble.

The actress opted for an elegant ensemble for the first of Ambani's wedding consisting of a gorgeous red-and-gold Anarkali (frock-style dress) and a matching dupatta. The Anarkali's contemporary style featured long sleeves with golden border cuffs and a deep front slit. She added a maang tiika, a bold necklace, and earrings as accessories. She carried a vibrant velvet potli bag as well.

The soon-to-be mother and Bollywood actress wore a specially designed outfit by Torani. It had a long, full-sleeved kurta with a circular neckline, defined pleats, and embroidery with gold lines. She wore it with a loose pair of ankle-length, high-waisted pants that were heavily embroidered. She finished off her gorgeous look with gold sandals. Accessory pieces include a statement ring, matching layered kadhas, and earrings set with rubies and gold.

The Bollywood actress wore a traditional outfit consisting of a deep navy blue kurta with elaborate embroidery, keeping things simple. He matched it to black shoes and churidar pants, and he added a big, sparkling brooch to finish the ensemble.

For the event, the multicultural couple dressed in traditional Indian formal wear. Chopra wore an Indian designer Tarun Tahiliani bra-style amazing looking  choli with her lehenga. Sheer orange fabric embellished with sequins and floral embroidery comprised her ensemble. She paired her look with jewels from her global brand ambassador, Bulgari, an Italian company. Husband Nick Jonas, meantime, completed her ensemble with a Richard Mille watch and a sequined Sabyasachi sherwani set.

Wearing an antique 160-year-old silk sari from Manish Malhotra's archive, the actress was stunning in that dress and looking really beautiful. It was made in fuchsia pink and is said to include authentic zari work that has been meticulously weaved with gold and silver to give it a rich appearance. The sari is worn with a dipped neckline and an embroidered strapless champagne gold blouse which made her look even more stunning. Bhatt opted to accessories the ensemble with exquisite jewelry by Sunita Shekhawat, a Jaipur-based business with a rich history. The necklace, which is a work of art, is adorned with 22-karat gold, uncut diamonds, emeralds, and pearls.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh chose to wear a light grey sherwani with subtle embroidery along with a matching white kurta and churidar pants. His wife Gauri, meanwhile, complemented him with a gorgeous beige and gold lehenga with sequins and elaborate embroidery.

The actress looked very beautiful and stunning in a golden lehenga designed by Falguni Shane Peacock. Kapoor accessorised it with a bralette-style choli adorned with genuine gold temple jewels, complementing the garment's thousands of sequins and crystal embellishments. Her dupatta, which was embellished with tiny buti embroidery, emphasized the ensemble. As an accessory, she wore a maang tikka and matching earrings with a polki choker neckpiece.

The Bollywood couple wore complementing outfits. Kaif looked gorgeous in a red sari with gold accents. She finished off her understated appearance with a neckless and earrings. Kaushal, on the other hand, went for a basic sherwani in shades of white and gold, matching it with formal shoes in muted tones.

The actress, who was formerly the WWE champion, donned a traditional Indian outfit called a sherwani in a pastel blue color. exquisite gold and white threads were used to create exquisite flower designs throughout the collar and shoulders of the sherwani, lending an air of wealth. The outfit was finished with a set of gold buttons that provided a subtle contrast to the pastel material which completed John Cena dress.
